Wardrobe Makeover

Does your wardrobe match your personality?
There are 3 billion women who don’t look like super models and only eight who do. The average woman weighs 144 pounds and wears between a size 12-14. A psychological study in 1995 found that 3 minutes spent looking at a Fashion Magazine caused 70% of women to feel depressed, guilty and Shameful! Models 20 years ago weighed 8% less than the average woman. Today they weigh 23% less. There is something seriously wrong with this picture.
“The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.”
It is an absolute fallacy that you can “put on” beauty, but regrettably, this is what we are conditioned to believe! So many of us frantically search (in vain, I might add) for a “look.” Why do we search for a look and then try to make it our own? Our clothes should match us, not the other way around. We sabatoge our own efforts to look fabulous when we wrap ourselves up in an image that is not true to who we are.
A truly radiant woman is one whose “look” reflects her authentic self. While there is nothing you can ever “put on” that will adequately convey your beauty as a woman, you can learn which colors, patterns, textures, and designs allow others to see the real you. Once you learn how to dress this way, people will be drawn to you for all the right reasons. They will treat you differently. Their attention will be on your eyes, and they will easily see who you are. Perhaps the most gratifying aspect of this whole experience is the confidence you feel. There is great power in presenting oneself authentically. Tragically, most women hide their true personality behind the clothes they wear. They waste money on clothes that rarely get use and can’t figure out why they feel uncomfortable wearing them. Their hairstyles and makeup are out of harmony with themselves, and actually cover up their natural, radiant beauty.
As long as they hide behind the image they create for themselves, no one ever really sees what they have to offer.
The ultimate goal is to ditch the man-made (or woman-made) images that permeate our society. What will compliment one woman will often times age another. True fashion is about understanding the beauty that is you, then seeking to honor it.
When your outward appearance becomes an authentic portrayal of who you are on the inside, you will love the way you look and feel. Every aspect of your life will become more beautiful as you experience a whole new you – the real you.
“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman with time only grows……
